Tonight Suki Waterhouse was attending the prestigious Bafta Awards in London, alongside her beau Bradley Cooper.
This is a huge occasion which is viewed by millions across the globe, so it’s imperative that the look is well considered, not just creating it but longevity is vital!
Hair, styled by Asashi was drawn back into cornrows at the side which opened up Suki’s face.
My first step was to create the perfect base, define and then create a striking eye and pretty lip, all of which would work close up but in camera flash and heat.
The make up was all by Burberry, and here’s how we did it…
I took some time to thoroughly cleanse, massage and hydrate the skin. Preparation is vital for the glow.. and it’s very relaxing !
To begin the make up I took a small amount of Burberry Fresh glow in Nude Radiance and smoothed all over the face and neck, it’s a gorgeous and instant brightener.
Using Sheer concealer in No 2 I took away shadows from under the eye and around nose area.
Continuing with No 2 I HIGHLIGHTED the high points of the face, i.e anywhere the light would naturally hit the face. Top of cheekbones and cupids bow.
To create definition I used Sheer concealer in No 4 under the cheek bones and on temples.
Using a foundation brush working from the centre of the face outwards I applied a layer of Sheer Trench Foundation in No 5, blending with fingers after.
Using Sheer powder in No 2 I lightly powdered through the centre of the face and under the eyes.
Brows were combed through and I filled in gently and perfected the shape with Eye definer in Midnight brown.
Next I curled the lashes and applied Midnight Black mascara.
Using one of my favourite eye shadows Antique Rose I buffed a sheer layer across the eyelid and worked into the natural socket line which created soft definition.
Then I worked the midnight black Eye Definer pencil into the top lashes and extended out into a flick and then under the lower lashes to join the flick. The pencil is soft and waxy if you work into the back of your hand. I finish the end of the line with a fine liner brush.
Earthy Blush… the best blush… it gives natural colour but beautiful contouring was swept over the cheek bones.
To finish I applied Lip definer in Rosewood softly all over the lip and then pressed Lip mist in Pink Heather over the top. This is now Suki’s favourite lip colour!
Here is a picture that was taken just before Suki left for the awards. Final touches!
