The V&A played host to the fashion world last night with a glittering opening night gala for Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty.
One day after the end of fashion month, the fashion world flocked to London for the long-awaiting opening of the exhibition celebrating the life and work of visionary fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Following its record-breaking run at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, the exhibition was welcomed home to London last night in style.
I was asked by Anabelle Neilson to do her makeup for this event. She was the muse and best friend of Lee McQueen and was to deliver an emotional tribute about her friend at the dinner.
She wore the most amazing gown that had been made for Isabella Blow. Hair was done by the talented and wonderful John Vial.
For the make up, contouring and definition on the face, the eyes were heavily lined, lashes were added and the lips were nude.
